Francis D. Murphy has received the recognition of Stanford Who's Who for outstanding work in the Utilities Industry.


OAKEY, QLD, AUSTRALIA, January 13, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Francis D. Murphy has received the recognition of Stanford Who's Who for outstanding work in the Utilities Industry. As a Manager for Contact Operation Australia, Murphy has displayed the extreme diligence required to be successful.

Murphy is currently managing the Australian section of a New Zealand based Power company that supplies electricity to the National Grid. They have a long history of service in New Zealand and Australia.

Francis got his start in the power generation industry in an operational role as unit operator in a coal fired power station. Always a diligent worker, Murphy further developed his skill base and his phenomenal ability to work with others. Eventually, he progressed into the role of management of power facilities.

He views his improvement to the performance of numerous power stations by introducing modern maintenance and management practices as his greatest professional accomplishment to date. Murphy attributes his success to his ability to work with and develop people to progress the business as well as their careers in the power and other industries. His experience in power generation and the change process delivered to a number of organizations with a strong safety focus is quite impressive.

Murphy earned a Certification in Occupational Health & Safety from Queensland University.
